What is Traditional?
Our new Traditional wallpaper is a true non-woven material with a paper-like feel. With a luxurious matte finish, easy installation, and dimensional stability, this wallpaper is a dream for homeowners, designers, and installers alike.Why is Traditional so Special?
Because Traditional is a non-woven, it’s only comprised of a single layer without a woven backing, making it easy to cut like paper. Traditional wallpaper also has dimensional stability, meaning it will not shrink or expand upon pasting and installing. This dimensional stability makes it ideal for paste-the-wall application, though paste-the-paper will work, too. Traditional is designed for longevity and is rated as a Type I, Class A fire-rated material. As one of our installer-recommended permanent wallpapers, you can have confidence that Traditional will withstand the test of time in your space. This material is perfect for homeowners striving for more elevated interiors, first-time wallpaper buyers, designers seeking residential projects and approachable client solutions, and installers who prefer to work with non-woven materials.
Material Callouts
With the elegant matte finish of this material, colorways on Traditional can appear more subtle than on our other materials because Traditional does not have a coating on top. If you are looking for an approachable, demure, and refined home, Traditional wallpaper is the perfect first step. Moreover, because this material can be dry hung using paste-the-wall application, installation time is significantly reduced, with no booking required. This makes Traditional an attractive option for installers and homeowners looking for a quick and easy application process with elevated results. As for removal and cleaning, Traditional is dry strippable or supports wet removal, just like our Pre-Pasted and Metallic substrates. To clean, opt for a gentle cleaning method and avoid aggressively rubbing the surface, which could cause damage to the non-woven surface. Lightly dust the area first, then gently wipe using a damp microfiber cloth with mild dish soap and warm water. Dry the wallpaper promptly with a soft lint-free cloth to prevent moisture from settling and causing damage. While Traditional wallpaper is fine to use in powder rooms, it’s because of excess moisture that we wouldn’t recommend installing it in any bathrooms.
