Developed exclusively for Spoonflower, our 100% organic cotton double gauze fabric features a subtle 1 inch (2.5 cm) grid that crinkles when washed and looks dreamy with lighter-color, scattered designs. With an open-weave texture similar to muslin, Organic Sweet Pea Gauze® is the ideal choice for everything from baby bibs, swaddle blankets and burp cloths to produce bags, breezy apparel, scarves and swim cover-ups. Prints are likely to be off-grain.

I chose Sweet Pea Gauze, a lightweight grid gauze, because it was soft, floaty, and casual enough for daytime wear. The subtle grid adds an extra dimension without overwhelming the print. The gauze moved beautifully and echoed the lightness I associate with Ancient Greek-inspired silhouettes.

Organic Sweet Pea Gauze® Fabric FAQs
Machine wash cool on a gentle/delicate setting, using phosphate-free detergent. Machine dry on a low temperature setting. Iron on the reverse side of the fabric.
Designs print with crisp detail and vibrant color. Smooth fabrics show fine details clearly, while textured fabrics create a more natural printed look.
Some Spoonflower fabrics may include a small amount of extra width for the selvedge (the finished edge of the fabric). This area helps prevent fraying during printing and shipping. The listed fabric width refers to the usable printed area, and any selvedge is included as additional width.
